Michele Merril now has a studio at New Town Dental Arts. Michele Merril is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is well versed in anatomy, physiology, pathology, ethics, and other specialties associated with massage therapy. Her main goal with every massage is to tailor it to the specific needs of her clients by using multiple modalities to get the best possible result. Michele graduated ODU with a BS in computer science and then from American Spirit Institute, completing a 600-hour program to become a certified Massage Therapist. Modalities included Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Reflexology, and Hot Stone Massage. Some of the common ailments she helps relieve are headaches, TMJ, muscle tension, carpal tunnel, sports injuries, multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia. Michele’s unique and nurturing touch has satisfied a wide-array of clients. Michele believes a good massage therapist should always be involved with continuing education and this is why she is currently in the process of obtaining a certification as a Medical Massage Practitioner to better help her clients.
