Sarah E Allen, DDS

Sarah E. Allen was born in Michigan and raised in Marshalltown, Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and then her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While at the University of Iowa, she was a principal investigator for a study funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and received their Dental Student Research Award.

She moved to the Hampton Roads area in 2009 and has been in private practice in Norfolk as well as a volunteer at the Red Cross Dental Clinic. She is a member of the American Dental Association and The Academy of General Dentistry. She likes the coast, proximity to mountains, the mild winters and the history of the area. Even though she is not a native Virginian, Dr. Allen says, she "got here just as soon as she could." Since moving to Williamsburg, she has become involved by visiting local schools to teach about good dental health, joined the Rotary Club, volunteers at the Olde Towne Medical Center and is becoming very active in her church.

A competitive swimmer since she was a child, Dr. Allen now stays athletically active by training for and competing in triathlons. To relax she works crosswords, knits and curls up with a good book and her cat, Sophia. Coming from a close-knit family, she has two older brothers, a younger sister and an infant niece and nephew.

Christopher Oswald, DMD Endodontist

Christopher Oswald was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area.  He attended Virginia Tech where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, then moved to Boston, Massachusetts to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his DMD Degree.  It was here also where he accepted the Military Health Professions Scholarship and agreed to serve with the United States Navy upon graduation.

For three years after dental school, Dr. Oswald served alongside the Marines in Camp Pendleton, CA as a general dentist and deployed with them to the Middle East as part of a Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2008.  Dr. Oswald completed the Advanced Endodontics Program at the University of Southern California and received his Certificate in Endodontics in the summer of 2011.

He has through this time remained on active duty status with the United States Navy and now serves a commitment here in Hampton Roads as an Endodontist.  With an ongoing effort to practice quality Endodontics outside the military environment, he has embarked upon the opportunity to work here in the Williamsburg community.

Dr. Oswald is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists.   Outside of his professional career, he enjoys running, biking, swimming, tennis, and snowboarding. He looks forward to re-discovering his home state of Virginia and serving the community of people that make Williamsburg their home.
